TOOLBELT

How it works

One call, start to finish.

Here is exactly what happens between your phone ringing and a job showing up on your calendar.

A carpenter working a length of lumber on a sawhorse inside a house under construction.

The call you would have missed

  1. 1

    The phone rings. You’re busy.

You’re on a ladder, under a sink, or halfway through a cut. You can’t stop and you can’t answer.

  2. 2

Rae answers and asks about the job.

She finds out what they need, where they are, how big it is, and when they want it started.

  3. 3

You get a booked job, not a voicemail.

She puts the visit on your calendar and texts you the whole story. You call back knowing everything.

Getting started

Answering by tonight

  1. 01

    Forward your number

Keep the number you already have. Send it to Rae all the time, or only when you don’t pick up.

  2. 02

    Tell her about your shop

Your trades, your service area, your hours, your price ranges, and what counts as an emergency.

  3. 03

    She starts answering

Usually the same day. You get a text after every call, and you can change her answers any time.

Your patch

She only books what you can actually drive to.

You set the radius and the ZIP codes. She turns down the rest politely instead of putting a two-hour round trip on your calendar.

Outside your area? She takes the details and tells them straight, instead of wasting a visit.

Straight answers to common questions

Voicemail asks people to wait. Most of them just call the next contractor instead. Rae talks to them, gets the job details, and books the visit while they’re still interested.

No. An intake bot reads a form out loud and writes down whatever it hears. Rae holds a conversation, knows your trades and your service area, decides what’s urgent, and books into your real calendar. If a caller jumps ahead or changes their mind, she keeps up.

She answers as your office and sounds natural. If anyone asks whether she’s a real person, she tells them she’s an AI assistant. We don’t trick your customers.

Yes. She’s set up per shop, not per trade. General contractors, remodelers, handymen, roofers, painters, concrete, decks, plumbing, electrical, HVAC — the questions change, the job doesn’t.

She can put them through to you or your crew if you want that, or take a message and text you right away. You decide which calls ring your phone.

Usually the same day. Forwarding your number takes a few minutes, and the rest is telling her about your shop.
